Autograph Quick Tips

Pre-qualification
To qualify for Autograph customers must have:

• A vehicle no older than 1996 with a correct diagnostic port (see list of ineligible vehicles)
• A computer with:
  • Windows 2000 or Windows XP
  • 1 USB port
  • 50 MB of free space on the hard drive
  • Internet access

Customers are rewarded for being good drivers. They can review their driving habits – learning how to be better drivers – and receive more discounts!

Benefits – Discounts
Just for submitting their data, customers receive an automatic 5% - guaranteed! They can also receive discounts based on their annual kilometres, time they drive and their speed.

There are no negatives to joining Autograph; customers get a free device, free software, and the option to save money on their insurance.

The Autograph device
The device plugs easily and quickly into the customer’s vehicle, like a cigarette lighter, and is as small as a thumb.

Driving information collected
The device collects the number of kilometres, time and speed of driving - info on the dashboard.

Uploading and reviewing your information on your computer
Customers will receive an email reminder of how and when to upload their information.
The information from the device is uploaded to the customer’s computer through a simple USB cable provided with the device.

Sending your information
Customers can review their driving information and discount and decide if they want to forward it on to the insurance company. No matter what, the information will not be used against them.

Registration
Once the customer has received their policy number, they need to register within 30 days by visiting www.autographinsurance.com.
Once registered, a device will be sent to them. The customer has 45 days to install the device from the policy effective date.
